Cane Creek EeSilk Stem With Damping Elastomers 6°

Thanks to the integrated elastomer damping, the eeSilk stem from Cane Creek absorbs the many small shocks and vibrations that are transmitted to the handlebars on bikes without fork suspension. Especially on randonneurs, gravel and all-road bikes, having front suspension provides noticeably more comfort on bumpy roads. For direct handlebar feedback and optimal power transfer in the saddle on climbs, you can block the compression with just a twist of the lockout lever and release it again just as easily.

Despite its technical finesse, the damping stem blends discreetly into the cockpit and impresses with its light weight. The design of the excellently crafted eeSilk stem is visually and technically a small work of art. Mounted on the steerer tube, the retrofittable Ahead stem moves along a rubber-mounted axle, which means that the position in relation to the handlebar changes only minimally when the stem is compressed. Three easily exchangeable elastomer inserts in different degrees of hardness let you customise the stem for your individual requirements, from sporty cross or gravel, as well as touring or trekking.

Attention:
The degrees of hardness of the elastomers for the eeSilk stem were developed independently of the rider's weight after test rides on different surfaces. Depending on the stem length, different elastomers come pre-assembled: 80 mm - soft, 90 mm - medium, 100 mm - hard. For individual adjustment, the mounted damper can be easily changed by loosening a screw.

Steerer tube spacers with more than 5 mm height above the eeSilk stem and more than 40 mm spacers below the stem are not recommended by Cane Creek.
