With the R7150 series, SHIMANO is also giving the 105 groupset its 12th gear as well as integration into the electronic Di2 system – raising its best-selling road bike shifting group to the next level for its 40th anniversary.
The matching crankset is SHIMANO’s FC-R7100. The visually appealing 4-arm construction with hollow-forged crank arms and integrated Hollowtech II axle stands for an optimal ratio of weight and stiffness for maximum drive efficiency. The cranks and chainrings themselves are made of anodised aluminium, while the fibreglass-reinforced plastic ribs on the back of the large chainring embody the SHIMANO 105's special structural design, which allows for significant weight savings with crisp shifting performance.
With a difference of 16 teeth, the chainrings in combination with the matching 12-speed cassettes from SHIMANO ensure a high bandwidth with fast and easy gears and fine gear jumps at the same time. This way you have enough reserves uphill and downhill and always stay close to your preferred cadence.
